Everyone who travels should take out travel insurance to guard against lost luggage or unexpected changes to travel itineraries. Most international travel insurance does not cover medical expenses related to HIV, but it pays to shop around as some companies may offer restricted coverage based on your CD4 count and health history. Contact your local AIDS Council or PLWHA organisation for more information.
