Travel - Why?

p(standfirst). Gay men travel for many different reasons — for work, to visit friends or family or lovers, or just for fun.

Travel can be on your own, with friends (gay or straight or both), or with a partner. These things all affect the way you approach travel and even the way you behave.

I love travel, love meeting new people, love immersing myself in the local culture. Most of the time when I have travelled overseas I have been with a partner. I don’t know necessarily if my sexuality makes any difference. — TONY

Many gay men travel to feel part of, and be part of, a larger gay community or world. I went away to get used to being gay actually. I went to Europe to observe the gay life. — CHRIS
