booklet cover Introduction

International travel, whether you’re a seasoned traveller or first timer, requires careful planning and preparation so that you can concentrate on having fun when you arrive. Throw HIV into the mix and you’d be unwise not to do some serious investigation and planning before you head off. So this booklet has been written to answer commonly asked questions and alert you to some issues of travelling with HIV that you may not have thought about. This information was correct at the time of writing. If you have any questions that have not been outlined in this booklet, contact your local AIDS Council or PLWHA organisation.
