The HIV/AIDS Care and Support Program provides one-on-one support and peer support services to people living with HIV/AIDS, their partners, carers, family and friends. HIV awareness is provided through health promotion, education and community development including education and training to allied health services.
We hold fun and educational getaways, social outings and activites for people living with HIV/AIDS including peer support.
We periodically hold Nutrition Clinics, and have information and resources available on nutrition and HIV medications.
We are also an advocacy and referral service, and provide information and support to those affected, infected, or at risk of infection with HIV/AIDS. Individual support is provided by making an appointment with Care and Support staff and we can provide support at the TasCAHRD office, your home, the hospital or over a coffee.
