We commenced June 2005 with a range of activities still ongoing in the development of the HIV National Strategy Implementation Plan, as well as finalising of some research proposals covering HIV Living issues and a discussion paper focused on current and changing issues of complexity in HIV clinical [1]Pertaining to or founded on observation and treatment of participants, as distinguished from theoretical or basic science. care and clinical research in Australia. The resulting reviews and presentations, starting with the launch of the discussion paper at the ASHM [2]Australasian Society for HIV Medicine. The discussion paper has been disseminated in various ways through the national partnership, including the Department of Health and Ageing, and NAPWA has plans to facilitate related forums with other partners to progress these initiatives in the coming year.
