NAPWA Annual Report 2010-2011

Annual report • Graham Stocks • 10 November 2011

From the Executive Director's report:

NAPWA has again, this year, provided high-level health and policy advocacy on behalf of PLHIVPerson (or people) Living with HIV. This term is now preferred over the older PLWHA. across the country and this has been in direct response to the emerging issues raised by our member organisations and their constituents. This reporting period has also brought us to the midpoint for both the NAPWA Strategic Plan, and the 6th National HIV Strategy.

It has been another period of many issues to cover, both internally and externally, and the Board has worked closely to show engagement and care on behalf of the membership.

The report of the midterm review of the NAPWA Strategic Plan, due in November 2011, will allow the membership to consider the priorities and directions we have to provide for the next several years, on the back of some significant achievements already.

We look forward to more successes ahead for the Association, on behalf of the population of people living with HIV today and into the future.
