This document identifies the communication pathways of the NAPWA organisation. To begin, a brief history of the organisation and its key roles and activity is provided. This is followed by an overview of the organisational structure and examples of formal communication pathways that support the work of the organisation.
The document is presented in four parts and identifies the pathways that facilitate open and effective communications within the organisation, membership and affiliated groups across the HIV sector and broader community.
Firstly, the member organisations and representative membership are identified and discussed along with the communication pathways that support these positions. Secondly the NAPWA Board positions are identified and the pathways of communication that support them. This is followed by description of the NAPWA portfolio and network convenor positions, responsibilities and communication pathways. Finally the NAPWA secretariat positions, portfolio and network committees, working groups and reference groups are identified along with the communication pathways supporting that work.
As well as these formal channels of communication within NAPWA, there are also many informal communication pathways and NAWPA acknowledges that communication pathways operate best as two-way exchange.
