Viral load blood test results are expressed as the number of copies (of HIV) per milliliter of blood plasma., those taking 3TC in combination with tenofovir were more likely than those taking FTC and tenofovir to develop a number of key resistance mutations, report investigators in the online edition of AIDS.

HIV treatment responses in everyday care matching clinical trial levels

HEALTH Minister Nicola Roxon has suggested further reforms to the pharmaceutical benefits scheme[Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme] The federal government program which subsidises medication costs in Australia. Anti-HIV drugs are part of a special part of the PBS called Section 100 (S100) which is used for expensive, highly specialised drugs. (PBS) may be necessary, with independent modelling showing costs could blow out to $13 billion in 2018.
